Additional transition information
We are very much looking forward to meeting you and your child next week, and getting to know you all. Below are some additional pieces of information for you to read and - in some cases - to share with your child.
1) I am starting school document - this is for you to read with your child to help them understand what their first day will feel like.
2) Autumn menu for lunches - there are two choices each day.
3) Lunch order form - as your children have not had any formal transition to the school, we felt that ordering lunches in the first few weeks may be a little overwhelming. So, we are asking you to complete the attached form and bring it with you on the first day to indicate your child's hot lunch choice or whether they are bringing a packed lunch.
4) Questions answered - our version of Frequently Asked Questions.
All the attachments will also be uploaded to the school website and class Padlets. With regards to Padlet, some more videos will be uploaded today for you to share with your child.
If you are planning on using breakfast and/or after-school club (only possible from 28th September), please ensure that you have booked the sessions that you require via the school website.
For next week only (w/c 7th September), when you bring your child to school we are putting in an additional 'one way' path for you to walk your children right up to the Reception gate and hand your child to their class teacher - rather than dropping them off at the normal coned walkway in the same way as the rest of the school. We ask that you try to make this handover as swift as possible to reduce any upset for any wobbly little ones. Class teachers will be there at the Reception gate and Teaching Partners will be waiting in the classrooms to receive the children. Can I also ask for your patience with this as, inevitably, this will slow the drop off process a little.
