Naunton Park Pre-school Playgroup is a non-profit making, community playgroup overseen by a committee of volunteers. It is a registered charity and has been operating within Naunton Park Primary School since 1984. It is independent of the school but benefits from extremely close links. The preschool follows the same term calendar as the school.

Facilities

The preschool is set on the grounds of the school but is separate from the main school building. It’s a lovely and cosy space, complete with air conditioning for those increasingly hot summer days, ensuring children have a cool place to relax after exploring our engaging outdoor area.

We have plenty of bikes, toys, a play kitchen, and even a garden where little ones can enjoy gardening projects. There are shaded areas outside and lots to discover, play with, and learn from.

It’s a wonderful preschool that will help get your children school-ready, giving them the opportunity to build friendships and socialise with their future classmates. The transition from preschool to Reception year will be as smooth as possible, as children get the chance to visit the school and become familiar with their new environment.

Thanks to the close relationship between the preschool and the school, we can ensure a healthy, positive, and supportive transition for every child.

Available sessions

The preschool operates Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:30pm, with preschool-age sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are mixed-age sessions, starting from age 2.5.

Fundraising

The playgroup is very active with fundraising events - the success of the playgroup is dependent on continual support from parents, both in helping run activities and supporting fundraising events.
